Some wedding days unfold exactly as planned. Others offer surprises and become even more memorable because of them. Polina and Brad’s summer wedding in Northeast Ohio was one of those days. It was full of emotion, beauty, unpredictable weather, and unforgettable moments that perfectly reflected who they are as a couple.

The day began with preparations at two meaningful places. Brad and his groomsmen got ready at the couple’s home in Middleburg Heights, a relaxed and personal setting that set the tone for the day ahead. There’s something special about starting a wedding morning at home — comfortable, familiar, and full of quiet anticipation. Meanwhile, Polina and her bridesmaids spent the morning at her parents’ home in Brunswick. The house buzzed with excitement as hair and makeup wrapped up, dresses were buttoned, and a few emotional moments snuck in between laughs. It was a beautiful, heartfelt start to the day and a reminder of how important family is to Polina and Brad.

Polina and Brad chose Cleveland Cultural Gardens for their first look and private vows. It couldn’t have been a more perfect setting. Tucked into one of Cleveland’s most scenic green spaces, the gardens offered a peaceful escape and a classy backdrop for this meaningful moment. Their first look took place in the Italian Gardens, surrounded by lush greenery, stone architecture, and changing summer light. It was intimate, emotional, and filled with genuine joy — one of those moments that reminds me why I love photographing weddings.

Afterward, we took advantage of the gardens for relaxed portraits with the couple and their bridal party. The area's timeless beauty paired beautifully with Polina and Brad’s effortless connection, making this portion of the day feel calm and unhurried before the celebration truly began.

From Cleveland, the bridal party headed east to a private property in Newbury, Ohio for the ceremony and reception. Nestled in nature, the property featured a serene pond that served as the backdrop for their ceremony — simple, elegant, and deeply personal. Can you spot the palm tree? Yes, it's real and in Ohio if only for the season. Summer weather kept everyone on their toes. Sunshine gave way to clouds, followed by a few dramatic downpours. Polina, Brad and their loved ones took it all in stride. Just when it seemed like the rain might steal the show, a perfectly timed rainbow appeared, arching over the property and drawing smiles from everyone in attendance. It was one of those rare, magical moments that felt like a gift.

The outdoor reception continued the relaxed, joyful energy of the day. Guests gathered under the clearing sky, enjoying great conversation, laughter, and the warm glow of summer evening light. Heartfelt speeches brought both smiles and laughter, capturing stories and sentiments that made the day feel even more personal. Despite the earlier rain and a naturally muddied dance floor, the party didn’t slow down. Guests embraced the mess, and danced outdoors with pure joy. It was a perfect reminder that the best wedding moments aren’t about perfection, but about presence and connection. As the evening came to a close, Polina and Brad made their way through a sparkler exit, surrounded by friends and family cheering them on. It was a joyful, celebratory ending to a day that had already given so much.

Polina and Brad’s wedding was a perfect example of why I love being a wedding photographer — beautiful locations, real emotion, and couples who embrace whatever the day brings. From Cleveland Cultural Gardens to a private pond-side celebration in Newbury, their wedding was thoughtful, heartfelt, and full of moments that will be remembered for a lifetime. Polina and Brad, thank you for trusting me to document such an incredible day. Your warmth, positivity, and love for one another made it an absolute joy to photograph.
