There’s something especially meaningful about a winter wedding — the quiet beauty, the closeness it brings, and the way it seems to wrap everyone in warmth despite the cold outside. Nick and Claire’s wedding day on January 31, 2026, was a perfect reflection of all of that and more.

The day began at Claire’s mother’s home in North Canton, where the atmosphere was calm, joyful, and full of love. Claire was surrounded by an incredible group of women (her mother, sister, grandmother, and several close friends) each one playing a special role in helping her prepare for the day. There was a steady rhythm to the morning: laughter, quiet moments of reflection, and the kind of support that only comes from those who know you best.

From there, we made our way to St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Canton, where I caught up with Nick and his groomsmen as they made their final preparations. There’s always a unique energy in those moments before a ceremony begins, and Nick carried it with a calm confidence. The open layout of the church provided the perfect opportunity to capture the ceremony from a variety of discreet and meaningful angles, allowing each moment to unfold naturally.

After Nick and Claire exchanged vows, we gathered family and friends for a collection of group portraits before stepping outside into the crisp winter air. With temperatures in the single digits, we moved quickly — but those few minutes outdoors were absolutely worth it. Nick and Claire embraced the moment with ease, creating relaxed, genuine portraits that feel as timeless as the day itself.

The celebration continued at Brookside Country Club, where the warmth of the reception was felt immediately. Guests were welcomed with thoughtful details, heartfelt toasts, and an incredible dining experience that brought everyone together. As the evening unfolded, the dance floor came alive thanks to The Cleveland Keys, whose energy kept the celebration going well into the night.

Behind it all was the expert planning and coordination of Tricia Dever of Always Eventful, whose attention to detail and seamless execution allowed Nick and Claire — and everyone around them — to be fully present and simply enjoy the day.

Nick and Claire, thank you for trusting me to capture such an important chapter in your story. Your day was filled with genuine connection, joy, and resilience (especially in that winter cold!), and it was truly an honor to be a part of it. Congratulations to you both.
