Every wedding that I document is special to me. However, I had an extra-special connection to this one. Sarah grew up in the house behind me. I’ve come to absolutely adore and greatly appreciate her family through the years. They’re are caring and wonderful neighbors. This is the second wedding I’ve had the honor of photographing for their family. Sarah and Eric’s day (from prep to ceremony to reception) was held at one of my all-time favorite venues, Manakiki in Willoughby. The old Hanna Mansion (now the clubhouse) offered plenty of room for hair, makeup and attire preparation. It’s always nice when the bridal party can comfortably get ready at the venue. Weather was perfect for the outdoor ceremony under a beautiful canopy of trees. After the awesome couple said “I do,” guests gathered on the patio for cocktail hour while family and the bridal party members smiled through a quick series of relaxed photos. Everyone then convened inside for dinner, toasts and plenty of dancing. Here are a few images from a great day!
