Looking Back at a Busy 2014 Wedding Season

I had the privilege of photographing another busy season of weddings in 2014. I captured memories for many wonderful couples and their families, and I had the pleasure of working with great wedding-industry colleagues. I shot at several favorite locations throughout greater Akron, Canton and Cleveland, including Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens, Walden Inn, Shoreby Club, The Club at Hillbrook, The Union Club, Botanical Gardens, The Ritz-Carlton, Hale Farm and Village, and Lake Forest Country Club.

It was a fun and eventful year. I photographed weddings ranging in size from 18 to nearly 400 guests. Two weddings involved horses – giddie up! I’m told I photographed the first-ever wedding at Stan Hywet to feature a bride on horseback (led by her groom) during the recessional. Of course, shooting weddings in Northeast Ohio, it was another year of interesting weather. I managed to escape a rogue storm that came off of Lake Erie while I was shooting at the Great Lakes Science Center.

I’ve been a full-time wedding photographer for nearly 13 years. The profession has changed quite a bit since I dedicated myself to the business, and I’ve worked hard to refine my artistic style and technical approach to documenting the atmosphere, details and (most importantly) the emotion of each wedding I’m hired to document. 2015 is already shaping up to be another busy year!
